Vaccinations
You are strongly encouraged to be vaccinated against COVID-19 to live and learn with us at UQ Res
For Australian students or students already in the country COVID-19 vaccines are free, even if you are not an Australian citizen or permanent resident. This includes people without a Medicare card and international students.
Presenting with Symptoms
If a resident has symptoms of COVID-19 they must stay in their room and advise reception via phone. Reception staff will assist in co-ordinating testing and quarantine as required.
Symptoms of COVID-19 include:
- fever
- chills or night sweats
- cough
- sore throat
- tiredness (fatigue)
- difficulty breathing
- headaches
- muscle pain (myalgia)
- loss of sense of smell (anosmia)
- distortion of sense of taste (dysgeusia)
- nausea/vomiting
- diarrhoea
- joint pains
- loss of appetite
- runny nose
